The Real First Black President..

Well that saying you are never to old to learn something new is so true..as I sit here watching the Winter Olympics and web browsing I stumbled upon an article about the first Black President John Hanson. John Hanson, who some say was a Moor was the President before the Constitution. He served as President from 1781-1782. Some said he was white because they wanted to deny his blackness. He declared the fourth Thursday of November as Thanksgiving Day. He also established the first Treasury Department and the Foreign Affairs Department. He was one of George Washington's best friends. If you Google his name you will find that he was, not only the First President, but the First Black President. As a Pan African Studies major student I did not even know this nor was I taught this. This I will pass on to others.
This was such a great Black History Month Fact and some say staying up late doesn't do you any good..Bah Humbug LOL
