Black History Month Facts




On this day February 27
In 1988, Ice Skater Debi Thomas became the first African American to win a bronze at the Winter Olympics.(side note that was my girl back in the day she is the one that got me interested in ice skating)
In 1872, United States' first African American lawyer Charlotte Ray, graduated from Howard Law School.
In 1869, Congress adopted the 15th Amendment making it illegal to deny the right to vote based on color,race or previous condition of servitude.
