Black History Month Fact


On this day February 15 in 1965, Singer and Pianist Nat King Cole died.
Also on this day in 1848, Sarah Roberts was barred from a white school in Boston, so her father Benjamin filed the first school integration lawsuit.
In 1804 New Jersey approved a law for the gradual emancipation of African Americans. It was the last Northern State to abolish slavery.
