I can’t remember a time when I anticipated an album release… I’m really trying to think when and who has had my attention like that. I’m sure if I think hard enough, it will come.
Truth be told everything that I have listen to recently has just filled my ears with empty space.
I am one who crave musical experiences that are thought provoking, moving, soulful, answers to my most complex life questions, speaking to my life experiences as though telling my own story.
In this day and age, I know that is a lot to put on an artist, musician and songwriter. But, my ear for music has been tainted, having been raised in an era when those standards and expectations were what mainstream/ pop music was all about… Because the music industry is so far removed from that place in time, I patiently wait for a glimpse of what was…..
Several months ago, when I heard Sade was releasing her new album, after eight years… the Earth Stood still… February 8th couldn’t come fast enough…. And I can say that Sade has fulfilled that expectation effortlessly

So today I give honor to Sade and all those driven during these difficult times that continue to do great things not only for themselves but for all Humanity….
I am permanently inspired. Just before I downloaded the album my Iphone crashed and I lost all of my music on my Ipod. So right now Solider of Love is the only music I have on my phone. I guess it was time to clear out the clutter….
